(Eddie Barry)

Words and Music by Eddie Barry
This is a song I wrote for my mom in 1996 and usally sing it every year to her. This year was extra special because it played on the radio and she was able to hear it without me actually there. It still brought tears to her eyes! Love ya Mom!
Please request it this year on your favorite radio station! Happy Mothers Day!
It?s time to rise and shine again
Your clothes are all laid out
Eat your breakfast and grab your lunch
I don?t wanna be late again

Thanks mom I?m going, I?ll see you later
I hope I pass the test
I?ll see you after football practice
I can?t wait till my first game

Oh, and she always looks at me and smiles
And I think she?s my best friend

Chorus

And she?s always there, she?s listening
She gives me all and more
She has taught me thru the truth of God
That all of this is His
And I know that He is in my Heart
And I want to thank Him
For my mom

It?s Sunday morning rise and shine
Put on you Sunday best
It?s time to go to Sunday school
I don?t wanna be late again
Now we all stand to sing and praise
And mom she turns the page
To what a friend we have in Jesus
And as the Organ plays

Oh, and she always looks at me and smiles
And I think she?s my best friend

I look outside my window pane
I see you standing there
Reflections of my childhood day?s
Well is it you or me?
